Individual Blue Flag for Recreational Boats

Dear club members, dear guests,

as you know, the MMC is strongly committed to environmental protection.

The environmental award “Blue Flag” gives water sports enthusiasts the opportunity to demonstrate their special efforts to protect the environment and contribute to the worldwide implementation of the goals of Agenda 21.

By flying the Blue Flag, water sports participants show the public that they take environmental responsibility seriously, contribute to the preservation of natural resources, and actively strive to avoid environmental pollution. Applicants (clubs) must annually demonstrate that environmental information and environmental communication are integral parts of their club activities. The goal is to protect aquatic flora and fauna, natural areas within navigation zones, water quality, and landscape conservation.

By acquiring an individual “Blue Flag” for your boat, you can support this commitment. This pennant costs a one-time fee of €15.00 and is available from our Environmental Officer. The purchase is accompanied by signing a “Declaration of Commitment for Obtaining the Individual Blue Flag for Recreational Boats.”
